Our member associations are very interested in the CASE programme, because it offers training to professionals
CLECAT is the leading voice on freight forwarding and logistics at the EU level in Brussels. We represent, and are supported by around 25 member organisations working to promote a sound approach to transport and logistics across Europe, in support of the competitiveness of our industry. Our member associations are very interested in the CASE programme, because it offers training to professionals. We do believe that there is scope for multimodal transport to develop quicker if the entire logistics chain – including shippers and freight forwarders – has sufficient knowledge of the alternative solutions available today with regard to river and rail transport and short sea shipping. However, we are aware of the fact that there a lack of sufficient training in these alternative techniques to benefit from the solutions available on the market. More and more of our members are prepared to invest in this approach, but often skills and know-how are lacking behind.
This is why CLECAT supports the unique training courses offered by the Atlantic Short Sea Shipping Training Centre (CASE). Their very practical nature is certainly one of their greatest advantages.
